Leadership Lions

Griffin is still loving his karate!! He has cycle tests every six weeks and has the opportunity to receive a stripe to add to the belt, or if he already has four stripes, he can move up a belt. He has been receiving two stripes at a time. The karate instructor informed us that this isn't common. The program he is in is called Leadership Lions and is for children ages 4 - 7. Most kids his age aren't very dedicated and this class is just to see how they follow instructions.
At his last cycle test, he was testing for a green belt. At the end of the class, the instructor surprised us all by skipping the green for Griffin. He received his blue belt. Last night we just learned that the instructors are watching him to see if he would be ready for "real" karate. He has a cycle test at the end of March, so we shall see. I'm so proud of my little karate kid!!
